Competency Levels
All Staff
Behaviours that all staff, regardless of job level, should display.
Managers
Behaviours that all staff in supervisory and managerial positions should display e.g. Senior Housing Officers, Housing Co-ordinators and Assistant Managers.
This level describes the progression needed for staff wishing to advance into managerial positions. Assistant Managers may identify with some behaviours from the
Senior Manager level in addition to this level and should consider these where relevant.
Senior Managers
Behaviours that Senior Managers, from Unit Manager and above, should display. Shows the progression needed for Managers wishing to move into roles with more
strategic involvement. This level also details the leadership behaviours expected from Senior Managers, including the need to act as visible role-models of all
the Sheffield Homes’ values and expected behaviours.
Indicator Descriptions
Good Performer
This means individuals consistently meeting expectations for a particular behaviour. Strong performers or those wishing to progress should also be looking to
develop behaviours from the next level up e.g. Manager or Senior Manager, or improving the consistency in which they demonstrate this behaviour.
Requires Development
This means individuals need to improve on a particular behaviour. Some of these behaviours may point to opportunities for development, however others point
to more immediate needs to change such as unacceptable behaviours, including those that go against the Sheffield Homes’ values.
