How to nominate
You can nominate by sending your stories to our FOCUS Awards team. Check here soon for more information and contact details.
In your story, you should try to make a strong case saying why you think the person or team you’ve nominated should get the recognition of a FOCUS Award.
You can write up the story any way you want, but remember that we’d like to know:
- the name and department of the nominee
- the problem they had to overcome
- the action they took to solve the problem
- the result of their actions
- how this relates to the FOCUS values: which values do you think the nominee showed through their work, and how?
- how they’ve gone ‘above and beyond’ to deliver a really great service and help people out
- what examples from the competency framework you think the nominee has demonstrated.
Include as much detail as you can – it’ll help us see how special someone really is.
Nominations open soon – check back here for more news about when you can send us your stories.
And remember that by nominating someone, you’re also being:
- FAIR by objectively assessing a colleague and providing deserved recognition
- OPEN by presenting honest feedback
- COMMITTED by showing how good work can improve the service we provide
- UNDERSTANDING by recognising a problem and how someone worked to overcome it
- SUPPORTIVE by helping them get the recognition they deserve!
Thank you for supporting the FOCUS Awards.
